Naming Contest for Newsletter Readers!

To Be Named: -Sterling silver and peridot square hammer textured earrings. Approx 5/8” long.

The Prize: -A $40 SuStudio Jewelry Gift Certificate made out to the winner!

Contest Dates: -Sunday Nov 16, 2014 through Sarurday Nov 22, 2014 11:59pm PST.

To Enter: -Post a comment on my blog at www.sustudiojewelry.com for entry entitled "Holiday 2014 Naming Contest" and dated Friday,  Nov 14, 2014. You must include your email address so I can contact you if you're the winner. :')

The Guidelines:

1. I'd like suggestions for a one or two word name for the earring design that can be used with any color or shape of stone.

2. You can enter as many names as you'd like.

How the Winner Will Be Chosen: -I'll choose the name I like best and the person who suggested the name will be the winner. In the event that more than one person suggests the exact same winning name, the person who suggested it first will win.

Collecting the prize: -I'll mail the winner on Monday or Tuesday after the contest concludes and the winner can pick up the gift certificate at any of my shows through the rest of this year. The winner will need to let me know before the show so I can make sure I have the gift certificate available. :') If you're the winner and not in the Puget Sound area, no worries, let me know and we'll arrange something else.

If you have any questions about the contest, feel free to contact me any time. Good luck everyone and I want to see lots of potential name entries!!

These are beautiful! Both the gem color and the design on the metal remind me of bamboo, so I would call them "Light through bamboo."

And I think that would work with any color stone but could also shorten to Bamboo.

I'm thinking "sprout", because it reminds me of the excitement we feel when we see that first bit of green in the garden days after sowing seeds.

"Meadow Jewel" The textured metal reminds me of a PNW mountain meadow and colored stones representative of wildflowers. Gorgeous.

There is something tropical about these earrings. The lines and green stones make me think of grasses and rain and remind me of the famous painting Tiger in a Tropical Storm by Henri Rousseau. I would name them "Rousseau".

If the intent is to keep the stones square shaped as well then I was thinking Squared2, or Times 2, Double Trouble. But, the texture and color of this particular pair makes me think High Plains, or Sway (like grass). A few more, Looking Through, What's Beyond, Inner Peace (I'm using that one twice), Inner Beauty, What Lies Within or just Lies Within.
