I love contests and I’m sure you do too! This one will be easy, with no complicated rules. Just leave a comment under my blog post titled “Summer 2016 Contest” about my current newsletter (or even a past newsletter) and let me know what you enjoyed, what you’d like to see in a future newsletter or any suggestions or questions. If you're not on my newsletter email list, email me at [email protected] and I'll be sure to add you. I’ll randomly choose a comment and then notify the winner by email and also post here on Friday June 17, 2016. That’s it! Easy peasy!

The prize will be a pair of my new Moorish tilework inspired sterling silver earrings (or copper) as pictured above!

Here’s the fine print:
1. You can only enter once
2. Contest ends Wednesday, June 15, 2016 at 11:59p PST
3. You must leave your email so I can contact you if you’re the winner

I'm looking forward to reading all your comments! Good luck!

Hello Susanna, thank you for sharing your experience caring for your dear mother. I was especially touched by the 'then' and 'now' photos. Strong, beautiful women. I hope to see you at Fresh Paint, Everett. Happy summer!

As always, your jewelry designs are inspiring and are inspired from life experiences. I'll be thinking of you, enjoy your time with your mother, no matter how you are feeling, remember the time is special. I never got frustrated with how difficult my dad could be on some of his days that the confusion was making him act like another person, I was more frustrated at the attitude of care givers saying "well you know, he is 89", my thought was, "well you know, he is still a human being.
Keep up your good work.

Hi,
I hope this is how you meant to enter you contest for a pair of your earrings. I have been to the Alhambra in Spain & enjoyed seeing your photos. You were inspired with some beautiful designs.

I have enjoyed the two pairs of earrings that I got from you a couple of years ago & look forward to stopping by your booth at the 6th St. Fair.

God bless your mother, you & your entire family as you go through this journey. I'm sure it is stressful but know you must bring her so much joy.

Vicki

Thank you Susanna for sharing your amazing trip and photos with us. I believe God has gifted every place on this earth with its own special beauty. Be it the terrain of the country, it's architecture, the people and their customs and culture. Then He gifted the rest of us by creating talented, artistically gifted people such as yourself to create beautiful works of art to share with us. I love your jewelry and am the happy owner of at least five pairs of your earrings! I plan on going to the Proctor art festival to add to my collection. I will keep you and your mother in my prayers. My mother is 87 and is having some memory issues. It is both a challenge and an honor to be involved in her care during this stage of her life. Your mother is blessed to have you!

I adore Moorish tile work, and I love the way you've rendered those geometric patterns in your new pieces: distilling down the complicated shapes with your "simple, clean-lined" style. I wonder if it would be possible to hang the stone in the necklace on p. 5 of your newsletter in such a way that the pendant itself could be oriented the same as the earrings? I understand why you hung it the way you did -- I can't readily come up with a solution for how to suspend the stone in the right place with the pendant rotated -- but I would like that symmetry with the earrings. It's all lovely, though. Brava!

I appreciate how you have taken a multi-faceted theme and translated it into a simpler version that still has the symmetry and clean lines of the original inspiration.

I also appreciate your value of family and the willingness to pause your life to spend the extra moments with your mom.

Spain has always made my list of places I would love to visit, and your photos and descriptions of the sights, sounds and smells have only elevated it to the top of my list. Your new designs are beautiful!

Wishing you a wonderful summer, especially the time you are spending with your mother.

My favorite part of the newsletter was these earrings that this contest is for! I love their design, love the angle of them, and loved the pictures of them side-by-side with the Moor artwork. I've been to Spain and love the feel of Moor artwork, and I feel like these earrings exactly capture that feel, while still having the simple elegance that all of your jewelry has. I love them.

In future newsletters, I'd hope to see where your inspiration for your jewelry comes from, just like in this newsletter! Very cool.

I wish you and your mother strength!

Hi Susanna...Your new designs are fabulous as always!! I LOVE those star earrings and how you were inspired by the floor tiles. WOW!! I love how you are always inspired by your travels.

My thoughts will be with you and your dear mom. Having lost my sweet mom almost 2 years ago I totally understand how you feel. Spend all of the time you can with her because it's never enough.
